After the Old Town and Hegra, one part of AlUla can only be seen from the seat of a 4x4: sand trails between wind-carved formations, suddenly opening into wide plains, then climbing to a point overlooking the whole valley at sunset. Dahaleez is a desert experience made for travellers who want more than a distant view of AlUla. The adventure sets off from the Chapters Adventure Centre, just two minutes from Elephant Rock, and carries guests into an atmosphere charged with movement and adrenaline in the heart of the desert. Across 35 to 45 minutes, guests live a real, concentrated experience — not time spent waiting or simply watching. Numbers stay limited to no more than 4 guests per vehicle, which gives the outing a far more private and comfortable character, away from the crowds of conventional tours. Begin with vehicle and safety fundamentals, then practise sand driving, ascents, descents, terrain reading and line choice. Finish with a practical challenge that puts new skills to use. This is not a sightseeing outing or an unstructured dune-bashing ride. It is a genuine driving and learning experience where two guests can share the wheel and progress through considered stages towards a final challenge. Participation: both guests may take turns driving, provided each person who drives holds a valid driving licence.
